Someone please help me i think it's getting out of hand and i may need a shrink.
Every time i see another off roader even a poxy life style one i seem to get uncontrolable tyre width and ground clearance envy! Even tho i have 10 inch under my diff and 10 and a half inch wide tyres my truck looks tiny and effeminate it's killing me on the inside. Please help me!

Dude, you need to drive a new RAV 4 off road and then you'll be cured.

I think it's deeper than that as when i had my scooby turbo with 300 odd bhp that was not as fast as i wanted or thought it should be.

Sorry don't have pictures(forum vs phone, phone looses), what would i be looking at if i did?

It's a white bigfoot, but for some reason it's carrying a spare that would just about suffice for a LR. Must be a "get you home only" spare

Get you home ........... must be a spacesaver

Spacesaver, now I have an image of the passenger sat with the roadwheel on their lap whilst the thing drives home, lopsided, on the 'spacesaver' because there's never enough room to put the flat tyre back into the wheel well

Its not just you, most people tend to compare themselfs to others. Where its pay check, wifes measurements or ground clearance.
Being a LR owner I do at least have the pleasure (ill founded or other wise) of looking down on most other 4x4s when comparing to them

Ive got a LR and although there are many pro's and cons if you see someone else driving there defender to work in the freezing cold you know they are hardcore enthusiasts too. Not usually the same people as the jap drivers, christ knows why I sign away years of my life to drive somthing that i like but I do and when i see other people doing it it makes me smile. Im much better off than others mind. my mate dave in his series 3 diesel (his only car). i go to tec with him one day a week and in a whole year it only got him there 9 times. Matin has a lightweight with a 200tdi which has no heater plugs and no heater!!! he has a specially adapted broom head that sits on the throttle to warm it up before it will tick over on its own.
I often wonder if it would be as fun if i had all the toys... i suspect that it would!!!
