Title: Help needed - Trying to make sense of my VIN number for ordering spares.
Post by: auf_wiedersehen_pet on January 20, 2008, 21:01:06
Could somebody help me with my VIN number. It is........

SALLJGH73TA51****

I want to order this window regulator (http://www.paddockspares.com/pp/DISCOVERY_1/Body_and_Panels/Front_Window_Regulator_LH_-_electric_from_MA137190.htm) which is suitable for MA 137190 onwards. Am I correct in thinking that the MA applies to the middle
bit of the VIN and they progress from MA to NA to PA to RA to SA to TA, etc. My midlle bit is TA so is mine later or am am just making the whole thing up?

MA is the start of 300 series disco IIRC

so if yours is a 300 i'd say thats the one for you

But if you give them a ring they are very helpfull

hope this is some help   :)
