I bo;ted the one on my 2a to the bulkhead between the seats.  Had water over the transfer box lever a fw times, but the CB stayed dry.
Handy thing there is that it can be used by both driver and passenger.

mine sits under where the radio is - handy supply of power ! and then ariel cable travels under dash, up side of screeen and out top of door, to gutter mount springy thing - handy to grab through window if really over hanging branches etc.

Radio?? lol no room for a radio in the dash on my old truck its got the standard center instrument panel and that heater thing that just burns ya legs no matter what setting its on lol and the cheap ass bit of tin for a dash the previous owner fitted soon to be slung, plus its v8 so couldnt hear it if there was one lol

We could make a box or bracket anytime mate. Bring the beast over and we'll sort it.

Kettle will be on. ( Unless you can get a driver then the V8 or EFI will be out  )
