On a 200Tdi controls HAZARDS - CLOCK - HORN???
aint got a torch and its too dark to go scrabbling around outside...
Thanks

Hazard lights and horn are on a seperate fuse to clock?
Hazards C8
Clock, is on A6 and B1
Horn is B5
I would suggest you either have a earth fault of the main feed has corroded

Hmmmm would it make a difference that the main loom to an alarm has been disconnected???
will have to lok the weekend i supose...unless hes cut the wrong wire when fitting stereo and/or spotlights..
Unless several fuses have gone (could be I suppose - lol)

It could be something has come adrift whilst fitting one of those.
I once bought an Escort on which the dash lights didn't work, the guy reckoned it needed a fuse but as all 4 sidelights worked I knew it wasn't that simple.
I later found that the sidelights had been patched right to left because the fuse for the Rh sidelights and dash lights had blown. Someone (I'll not say who) was too thick to realise there were 2 fuses for the sidelights.
So nothing would suprise me TBH ;)

well fuses are OK...found out the clock DOES work (just doesnt have a back light) so its just the horn and hazards- could it be the control stalk????????
also what sort of bulbs are used in the clock to illuminate the display?

If it's the same as a 300TDI clock, the bulb is one of those little ones with a plastic holder. Part number for the one I used last time (a Ring bulb) is "RW509T 12V 1.2W B8.5d" described as "indicator and panel".
