-
Arch yes but doe's it foam up like fairy and give you fairy soft hands, coz hands that do dishes are soft to the feel with mild green fairy liquid.
-
Grown men discussing washing up liquid?
Thats it! The worls has gone to rats crap! The only good thing about washing up liquid is mixing it with sugar to remove oil and grease from your hands when the swarfega has run out!
-
can you use the cheapo stuff in the dishwasher as well 8-[
-
You should try tescos almond and lavender wash up liquid its makes you hands smell like a summer meadow..........
-
Oh, I'm afraid I prefer Fairy..... maybe I could have phrased that better   You just can't get the froth with the cheap stuff!
-
Try tetley bitter thats got loads of froth, but its flat as a f**t down south, but then again no good 4 washing up with

   OH MY GOD

No point buying expensive washing liquid for helping to fit tyres on to wheel rims
That is what it's being used for after all ;)
nothing wrong with men discussing that is there?

a to hell with it, fairy rules, especially the tooth one
-
Can i not tell you about my Molton brown hand wash and hand lotion then.
-
Finding bargains like that are great and I am pleased with myself too. tins of tesco value baked beans what had a dent in the side in the reduced bit for 9p a tin. I was well chuffed. I am even happy over the 4 rolls of loft insulation from B&Q costing only £8.
Keep up the good work my friend and find those bargains!
By the way. I havent bought washing up liquid in about 3 years since my dad died as I inherited it. Ok the fairy liquid was in storage for about 6 months after he went. I am sparing with it and build the washing up so I can do lots in 1 go. Helps save the planet and my water bill too.
-
ahh washing up tactics....
i wash every thing up as i go, if i cook its washed up quickly before i eat then only a plate and cutlery to go,
i have tried to educate my girl friends brother, but he 'collects' dirty plates and cups until there is nothing in the cupboard to use!! he is a nightmare
-
Ah yes. I am similar but wash up when there is 1 left of everything! I tend to cook and wash everything else up at the same time! Like for now, I have 2 saucepans and a plate and a fork to wash up. Have I the inspiration to do it? NO! Will I do it tomorrow morning? Might do ;)
-
but it will staaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaain
i forgot to say its a 1 litre bottle
-
nah wont staaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaain. Should be alright. They are in the sink with water in. Just cant be bothered to go downstairs and stand on the freezing cold floor and do it!
-
If you leave the water in the sink too long the bubbles disappear..........................talkin of bubbles,Micheal Jackson :afro: is quiet these days, after he decided to throw his young un out of the window,I bet he doesnt do the washing up hell have somebody to do it 4 him,and I bet HE doesnt shop at tesco, itll be walmart cos thats an american company

but i bet they dont cost 13p for washing up liquid
as they are ASDA
-
I know,I used to pull their artics about, thankless task apart from the measly wages, but dont buy their frozen food cos I used to bring it off my wagon at -20c and then it used to sit outside in the summer for 40 mins b4 they decided to put it in their freezers, but now I shop at tesco and buy wash up liquid for 12p
-
....Will I do it tomorrow morning?....
Are you really suggesting that you consider leaving the washing up until the morning  How on earth can you tolerate that greasy ring around the washing up bowl :-> I always make sure I wash up before going to bed, I use a mixture of Fairy and Tesco cheap stuff.... it makes the Fairy go a lot further for the money
Once the washing up is done I make sure I clean my hands and then use Nivea hand cream before going to bed.... I hate that feeling of dry crusty skin, especially in the Winter :x ;)
-

Yep.... I agree that it was tough in the past :-. I remember trying to clean the chimney and getting stuck halfway up  The way my boss got me out was to light a big fire so that I sweated a lot and shrunk slightly.... don't you think that was a clever idea   ;)

Well morning has passed me.....................................
What greasy ring? Thing I dont like is putting me hand in the cold water to pull the plug out now it is cold. Grrr.
Hand cream. I have owned a bottle of moisturiser for 6 years now and still only used about 10ml of the stuff  My hands are always rough as I work out dooors all the time and then my voluntary work is on a building site, and never have any skin on my knuckles to feel rough after working on the disco!!
I will go do it NOW!
-
Greasy ring was a joke......y,know double meaning and all that

do you use it in the shower???
Reminds me of Billy Connelly and his Ha Ho Ba shampooo
I tend to fill the bowl with hot water then add the liquid at the end as I don't like the bubbles ,I think they should put anti foaming agent in it, the bubbles don't clean anything the detergent does the bubbles just make it look pretty .
Don't do lemon after drinking half a cup of it in the dark (grab cup fill with water from tap chug down in one only to find cup was full of lemon fairey because the bottle split followed by chuk up sesh) :-> :-> :->
-
No I use vidal sassoons wash and go cos thats cos me hairs gone too
and as far as bubbles go,are you talking about Michael jacksons monkey?
-
No [-X Monkey's are no good for washing up as the fur just spreads the food around not cleaning at all !!!
Hamsters fur is much denser and works better when wet .
bibble ddoook suueecchhh ..
Meds Time :D :D
-
What about ferrets are they good?
-
No they go down the plug hole and come up in the bath [-X [-X
-
Llamas????
-

-
NUTTER!!!!

I have an older evil sister and when i was little'er she made me drink washing up liquid, it was lemon and put me off for life!!!!!!!!
-
I went to ibiza years ago and we found this lemon grove, some bright spark said "rub lemon juice on your head,it makes your hair go blonde" so I did,all I got was brown hair and second degree burns off the sun   !!!!
-

Richard Hammonds hair is better for washing up dishes? I think I will stick to watching him on tv!! Also I wouldn't say Richard is dense either, quiet a clever chap I think! ;)
-
James May,s hair would be just right
-
you could use Clarkson's hair on the tuff stuff, that needs scrubbing ;)
-
I think we've just come up with the next lot of top gear merchendice .
the Top Gear washing up set including,
The Hammond sponge
The James May mop
The Clarkson Scourer
Now we just need one for the stig
-
the stig is a dishwasher as you dont know who the stig is and most kids think that the magic washing fairy puts it in the dishwasher so you dont know who that is either!
-
So the Hamster is in fact Spongebob Squarepants?
(Trying for random comment of the week!)
-
Can't believe my eyes  ....... that I've just read the whole of this post!! :-k
Just got a few observations ......
Greasy ring? ...... Suit you sir!
And as for the "it's frothy man" ...... that was from the polar bear that wore shades and he used to advertise Cresta pop, not Fanta!
Remember Fanta??? Equally frothy (man!) but equally rubbish as washing up liquid  And tasted like knats pee too!

I reckon the stig IS spongebob squarepants!!!!.............but youd have to squash his head down a bit to get his helmet on

Ah yes, you're quite right.... but I'm afraid it reinforces my first comment
-
engine parts and dishwasher dont mix the alloy dont like the salt makes them all white and gritty
also a dishwasher saver water
-
I am stunned.... I am really stunned :-. :?
It appears that there are one or two members on here that are not all that keen on this thread and fail to see that it is most useful to exchange info on all subjects.
Sponge Bob :azn:.... dishwashers .... greasy rings 8-[.... It all makes sense to me  ;) :D

Dogs! Dogs are the ideal creature to deal with washing up. Put the dirty dishes on the floor, and dogs with their naturally abrasive tongues take all the the dried up food off. this is particularly effective if you leave the dishes on the floor overnight. Nice clean dishes ready for use in the morning! Saves a bundle on washing up liquid and dish washer tablets.

Now that idea deserves a prize  Ecologically friendly all the way and can save a little on the amount of dog food you would have to buy
Now I wonder if a cat could be trained to do the same :-k
-
Not enough food left on plate in our house to feed a dog   god my kids eat a lot ,the little one (11) had a full sunday dinner then picked up a bag of crisps on his way out of the room while still chewing the last mouth full of dinner

Yeeeeeeukkk
How about waiting for a storm and putting said dishes outside? Or taking them to the local car wash and sitting them on the roof of your car? Hmm, maybe there are a couple of minor flaws in the last suggestion :-k

Don't know what all the fuss is about! My family don't complain about doggie dishwashing. Mind you, they don't know about it! Mwa ha ha!!
