Title: 300tdi Engine Idle
Post by: Mark_Solesbury on February 08, 2008, 18:17:18
My 300tdi is hunting slightly (is that the correct phrase) when its on tickover..

if i let it go along in 1st on tickover, it is very jerky. Slight rev increase solves it.

It never used to be like it, and if i adjust the throttle cable to stop it, it sounds like its idleing to fast.

Any ideas?

Nope...

It runs ok when its being driven though, just at tickover.

Fuel filter is a year old.

Strange... Seems t be ok today.

Might have been as it was nearly out of fuel.

Filled it up today and its been ok.
