Well today i removed the anti-tapper cap off the smoke screw. Marked and removed the diaghram
un-seized little rod on the fuel pump. Turned diaghram 90 degree and adjusted smoke screw but it smoked really bad.So put everything back to how it was and pm a friend who has alot of experience tweaking them. Just don't want to mess it up have little experience with these pumps

If the fuel rod was seized then first you need to run it as was to see what improvement you get. It's possible you moved the smoke screw the wrong way though but from what i remeber you can do the smoke screw without stripping the pump, so it's probably best to change 1 thing at a time and try it.

There used t be a link to a great page all about this, does anyone have it?? It also showed the tweak with the turbo actuator arm

wouldnt alter the boost on a 300, 200's are o.k they run less boost. only my opinion though . ill try and source the link done both my 300's.. ( http://dodgeram.org/tech/dsl/more_power/Power_ve.htm ) try see iff this works. altered mine 1/4 on the smoke screw ,1/4 on the diaphram and 1/4 on the star wheel all clockwise.alan....

Yeah a 300 shouldn't run above 1 bar, perhaps a bit below so unless yours is running below that I wouldn't change it. What i have found good is to fit one fo those boost controll valves, evenif you don't use it to raise the boost it will stop waste gate creep and give you a bit better pickup.
They are also a doddle to fit and remove, but I strongly recommend a boost guage first.
