Joanne's (SWMBO) been down (I think?) 9 times on business already this month!

Luckily 'the client' has agreed to her having bought a First Class 'season' return ticket, on the (now) National Express 'East Coast Main Line', having cost £1,700+ for a calendar month
But that does include the Underground services she requires to reach the Hospital sites

This week, for example, she's down there Mon - Fri, & next week everyday bar Monday (plus an overnight stay on Thursday!!)
So, if she (them, on expenses) was paying out for separate tickets for each return trip

"What's that Skippy??"

Im fairly certain that LEZ only applies to larger commercials (not even vans) and that the £25 for gas guzzlers (band G) only applies after October if Ken gets re elected (but as Boris is his opposition id bet he does!)

Not that my plans include going to that over-crowded hellhole (a friend who lives there described it thus!) but does this Band G business apply to older vehicles or just those that come under the new tax regime? As mine is a 1996 example it doesn't have a tax band (well, apart from the higher rate for a larger engine).

Mind you, what's the betting they've just decided anything from before the bands came in is automatically Band G...

The bit that might apply is this:

"Cars first registered with the DVLA before 1 March 2001 with engines greater than 3,000cc"

Well, I'm ok - TDI is a 2.5. V8 owners are going to suffer though. LPG users might want to know this bit:

"The closure of the 100 per cent Alternative Fuel Discount (AFD) to new registrations, and the phasing out of the AFD by January 2010"

I'd take "Alternative Fuel" in this context to mean LPG/biofuels?
