hello All
I know I have asked a similar question before but does anybody know of a intercooler that will fit in front of the main rad from another car or van and as anybody tried this before. I have looked at the allard kit but the price frightens me. I have looked at eBay and some car ones and vans go for a lot more sensible prices i.e. cheep.

Saab turbo. Don't ask which particular model, I just know of a guy who had one fitted, massive thing it was and only £25 from a local breakers. Best bet is to have a browse at your local yard.

Hello
Did he say it improved it?

Don't take this the wrong way, but, most people who fit anything different usually say it improves things no end. Can't honestly remember but, yeah, probably.

Somthing allong the same lines .
I saw (I think is was clarkson) a car prog the other night and they showed the new sk-u-be-ru imprezzi and it had a water jet fitted in front of the intercooler so when the air temp is high entering the engine the jet sprays water mist onto the rad/intercooler which then evaporates cooling the air quicker .I had a thought that this would be a good idea for summer off road trips where you are traveling at slow speeds in dry conditions it would only need a repositioned washer jet and a remote pump/water bottle form a breaker .Might even be able to give a timed spurt for towing on the motorway in summer. anybody got any ideas as to how much difference it might make :?: :?:

That's quite a common mod on racers. A discovery headlight washer seems a popular choice. Can help get mud out of the rad and keep things cool.

And keeping it clean will make sure it does it's job.
