Title: need new turbo!
Post by: ashbyrne on February 19, 2008, 14:56:58
I need a new turbo as blew mine up. So where is the best place to get one? So far my best bet is a new garret one from paddocks at £360 inc vat. Anyone any views on this?

we used to use uk turbos on the south coast (can't remember where) they used to charge £99 for reconing yours (it was a while ago) and they also sold of the shelf .
If they worked on yours they always told us why it had failed which is a bonus as it stops you wrecking the new one :D

cannot help with a source sorry however you say standard v uprated  please unless you 've had SERIOUS mods made to you're engine stick with the standard
unit its more than man enough to cope.
If you want more/faster response then look to free flow exhaust + intercooler upgrade and a tweak to you're injector pump
by someone who knows what he's twiddling.
