hello,
some of you may know me, me and a couple of friend will be entering the Landy Rally which is 3000 miles from home to home
as a family ( me my brother mum and dad ) entered the rally in 2007 in a land rover 90 known as pinky, we did it and had one hell of a good time.
you may be thinking so hes done it once not so hard to do it again,
my parents have decided to buy a disco and do it them selves in a little more comfort than the last time,
so that leaves me and my bother to enter a team, his girl friend and my mate will be entering a team.
i passed my driving test last july and was unable to drive any of the rally due to only being 17
marc ( borther is 19 ) his girl friend will be 18
simon will be 19
we have alot to learn, i have the basic knowledge of engines and oils and such as i have owned pinky for 1 year now.
the rally its self covers 2300 miles plus extra for miles you get lost , in 7 days and goes through 8 countries, we will be entering as team Monstar. raising funds for the air ambulance in nottinghamshire and lincolnshire.
we have a basic website ... www.freewebs.com/rally-monstars (http://www.freewebs.com/rally-monstars) please advise us on how to make it better and ask for any info that you would like to know.
we are aiming to raise £2000 and we have no idea how to go about raising anything , the have £5 so far

Hi Kieran, good luck.
A mate & I are considering whether to have a go at the Landy Rally this year as it sounds like a cracking event.
If you want advice on raising funds etc, I'd be happy to help as I have some experience from a Land's End / John O' Groats event last July.
Have a look at our website: http://www.lejoggreenlane.btik.com/p_newhomepage.ikml This may give you some ideas.
You can email me at: lancashire.rep@glass-uk.org if you need to contact me.
One thing I will say...don't under estimate just how hard it is to raise sponsorship & don't get down hearted with the lack of response from requests. :)
