will a 300tdi gear box fit a 200tdi engine ? reason I ask is might be able to get hold of a decent 200 tdi engine and wondering how easy it would be to fit into my 300tdi

There are two manual boxes, LT77 & R380. Both will fit either a 200 or 300 tdi engine

Don't know what, if anything, you need to do, but my 200 has the R380 box.  :dance:

Get the "spare" as compltete as you can, I'm not sure if the transfer box selector bracket is the same :-k

Everything is the same..., the only difference is the position of the reverse gear. LT77 is left and forward, R380 is......, somewhere else....

sounds good , will have access to most of the old truck so can get any bits needed to swap it ocer
