its a 200tdi engine
-
Not that im any expert but i thought that was a 300tdi.
PS i did own a 300
-
well looking at the turbo i would say 200tdi as the actuator sits on the otherside of the turbo on a 300 unless its just a 200 turbo on a 300 engine :?
-
er... 300 chaps!
-
Ithought it was!
I looked at it and straight away thought 300tdi!
-
not sure, but dont be fooled cuz he put the 300 sound cover on it, im not sure if 200 had them, none of mine have, had to buy them after.

Check the manifolds and dipsticks to me it looks like a 200
-
Its a 200..... look at where the dip stick is ...... dont be fooled by the black cover.
-
It's a 200 plumbing is different to the 300 and it has a round air box :D
-
its a 200 look at the thermostat housing
-
Its a 200 - the position of the dipstick says it all!
-
300 tdi has sepentine belt and only one belt.
200 has 2 belts, alternator and fan.
That has two belts so it is a 200 tdi.
-
its a 200, as will all other comments, its the dipstick that gives it away?
-
Had to buy an alternator and as above the belts on 300tdi are ribbed and a 200 has a v belts
-
yep 200 as allready stated dipstick says it all
-
The anciliaries could be either as he says it's a 200TDi car. The dipstick and thermostat housing are the bits I was told to look out for. The inlet/exhaust manifold is the same which implies that the turbos could be swapped either way, the plenum is the same casting.
Not that it matters, either is a good engine.
