Title: sj 413 not running propperly

can any one tell me what i can do to make my 1.3 sj run properly it struggles starting(you have to keep your foot to the deck) and then when its running it has not much power and wont idle . cheers any help needed

check the plugs and air filter. was the problem gradual or did it just happen one day?

when i bought the car it was allready like this as i bought it for off road only

check youve got a spark in all 4 plugs. sounds abit like one of your cylendairs isnt firing.

If you have tried all the basic like plugs, points, blocked fuel filter (on the chassis rail just in front of the rear drivers side wheel)then it could be the standard Aisin carb which is reknowned for going wrong, swap it out for an SU,Nikki or a webber(if you are desperate)
