Title: where is paint code?

Where do i find the number of the paint on my 90 got a red truck cab that needs painting blue.

JCP Stratos Blue, Tasmin Blue 82-87 LRC.327 surely this wasn't the only shade of blue in this time period mines an 86?

Is there a way of telling from my chassis number or is there a plaque on my 90 anywhere have looked under the bonnet but can't seem to find anything.

I must admit my Defender didn't have a paint code on it anywhere that I could see. I did however manage to identify the code thru' the website.

I suppose if you ask at a Land Rover Dealership, quoting your chassis no. they may be able to tell you what the original paint colour/code was when you vehicle left the factory.

I work for a dealership i won't even bother asking, the parts finder doesn't go back far enough.
