Title: High Mileage

Should i be worried about the high mileage on my vit currently at 99000 miles...Its a 1.6 16v p reg

Cam belt has been changed,Engine oil changed,All oils in diff's,axles etc are fine,air filter is clean, plugs are ok

Anything else i should do to prolong the life of the engine,transmission etc

Looking back at all the old MOT's I got with mine it's now done 265000 miles! Up untill last year (When I got it) if it had a problem it was fixed straight away and was regurlarly serviced. So just keep it well maintained and it should keep going :lol:

Looked after 4 of them

2 'ate' valves at about 110000 miles
2 spat out the head gaskets, including my current one. Having done head gasket its on its way to 180000 miles and running like a dream, no valve damage evident, bores all nice and pretty... :)

Excellent servicing is are friend...I do like to keep on top of the engine,trans side of things...
