Title: woodruff keys

replaceing crank timing cog could some one tell me how to get the cag ontothe woodruff key
without the key sliding up the shaft and is it meant to be a very tight fit as this is
doing my head in  :evil:

i use bearing fit to glue the keys onto the cranks
but usually
by holding the key as a slight angle down and a quick sharp tap with  a copper mallet on the gear sends them home

Grease or like he said, bearing fit, it won't do any harm at all.
