Just to put things in perspective, I'm quite pleased with my LSE at the moment. I've been driving it carefully and have swapped the leads and dizzy cap for a NOS Unipart one.
Anyway, it does 12.4MPG  on LPG
Somehow I can't see it getting any better without a big cash investment.
Just thought I'd share :)

OOOPs :lol:mine does 32mpg, but then it's a diesel six ! Jappy Nissan Patrol wonderful !

With the price of Deisel it would need to
But then my LSE is not exactly standard

my 3.5 EFI running on straight petrol avearged around 16 to 17 if driven sensibly and that was with a fairly tired engine. When I chanched the head gakets, just looking ate the cruddy oil around the valve train its obvious it hadn't had a reqular oil change for a while.
To be honest the economy is not what bothers me so much (Thats what hatchbacks are for), but I do notice the range to a tank of fuel is less from ideal for a full days green laning.

Mine has a fairly tidy 3.5 v8 efi and i average around 18 but that is very carefull driving. As soon as i tow or go playing i stop trying to work it out.

Oddly the 3.5s do seem to be the more economical, by quite a margin.
