Title: Is it the same as a range rover?

Hi, I have a 1989 rrc with a diso 3.5 engine will that be the same engine they would have put in the rrc or will I have to buy a new haynes manual for a disco? also where would I find the engine number? thanks.  Ben

same engine, engine no. as you look under the bonnet, is on a ledge under the exhaust manifold on the right side at the back   
First 3 digits will confirm engine type

yes the engines are identical i have exchanged parts between the two and they fit straight on  :dance: :dance:

Engine number is on the top face of the block and is next to the dipstick on mine.
