Title: Lumpy
Post by: Wireless on March 13, 2008, 12:55:01
Damn servicing mechanic!

I will just have to remind my local garage (who are normally very good), that when they replace the spark plugs they need to pinch up the thread at the top of each plug.

Started ok, but ran lumpy (sounded like running on six or seven cylinders) during warm up on LPG especially, then when hot ran fine.

All sodding eight spark plugs had the top thread loose (where you push on the HT Leads), quick nip up with a pair of thin nose and not running lumpy during warm up anymore.

Jeez, why do they do this to us, I was having palputations over the possibility of something expensive going wrong...again!

Before you all admonish me for not servicing it myself, I am disabled.

Come along to one of our maintenance weekends and get some assistance and save a packet.

I can't bear to part with my hard earned to those stealers (Agent, Independant, etc...).

I can't bear to pay someone else to f*** it up for me.

If I have to pay it either goes to my local garage or to my mate.  Only problem with that plan is when he gets a Land Rover in I get a 'phone call

it doesn't matter about your capabilities either physically or mechanically if you have payed someone to do the damn job for you you want it done properly!
