OK, as its nearly time for the 2008 motor sport season (already running for the 4x4 stuff) I wondered if anyone here is competing and what they want to achieve this year?
I am sprinting the Elise in the Cornish speed championship, im after a class win in each sprint event (ambitious but its a well developed/modded car) and a top 3 class finish in all hillclimbs I do with 1 win!. Im going for top 3 tin the overall champ (not asking too much!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!)
Although I have not done any events in Cornwall before I did very well in the Bristol series before I moved so well see.... (no ambition..... no chance)
But most of all I just like hanging around with like minded car people, a looking forward to meeting a new crowd.
So what are you looking to do?
(ok and Id like get the Landrover working!)

I'm not planning on entering any events this year (but then again you never know ;))
But i am planning on attending more events and getting plenty of pictures ( some of mine have already been used in our company newsletter and advertising )
You never know, i might end up being someones winch bitch again :-k

Not running as a competitor but i will be attending a load of events as rescue crew

We're planning another assault on the National Hillrally Championship as well as the Baja GB.
We are reigning Super Production Champions, so want to hold on to that title, but would also like a few more top ten finishes this year. Its tough in a production car to challenge the buggies, but we have a few tricks up our sleeves!
You can read more about our exploits at www.friesianracing.co.uk (http://www.friesianracing.co.uk)

Mine falls under the 'Other Sport' catagory
1. To contest the full Cyclo-Cross 'Summer Season' (http://www.yorkshirecyclocross.org.uk/) series up here in Yorkshire
2A. To enter & finish a 10K road-race (running) on Sunday 30th March, already in jeopardy as I've been getting groin strains at 3miles
2B. To finish a 10mile, by the end of the year (also in doubt)
3. To enter & finish at least 1 'Sportive' this summer. I've missed out on the 'White Rose Classic' (http://www.bcyorkshire.co.uk/White%20Rose%20Classic/), as it's oversubscribed (I'd intended doing the 133km, see 'Route 2')
I've been asked to do the 'Scotton 100' in April, which is a b-road/unclassified/bridleway based event around the Knaresborough/Ripon/Dishforth area.
4. To seriously consider entering the Three Peaks Cyclo-Cross (http://www.3peakscyclocross.org.uk/), which is the hardest cross in the World, at 38 miles!
5. To contest an increased number of Cyclo-Cross events this coming season, which is September - February
6. To ride a non-competative 100miles in under 5 hours, including stop/start/city/town/hills etc.....

That'll be fun, but for the same amount of money you could stick a cage in one of your projects and go Hillrallying or do a comp or two! You know you want to!

Excellent, all set for a Hillrally then. Lots of navigation, timing and FAST off road stages. Huge fun!
