Title: no drive

i have just removed the rear prop shaft put it in 4wd and there was only enough drive to move me but not enough to drive me .the last time i went offroad i noticed the back had a tendancy to slide around i am assuming now that this was becouse there was no 4wd is there any easy solusion to this problem as i have already spent 100,00000,00000 POUNDS on it this year?

Did you have the diff lock in?

If you didn't the power would all be going to the output shaft that has the prop removed.

No I think that giventhe description of 2WD handling that the front axle has bust.

i have changed the front shafts and swivals do you think  it could be the diff or tranfer boxas i am new to landys i am still trying to get my head oround how they work so you giys are way past me. i am just bying bits and sticking them on. i was hopeing to save a fiew sheckles by asking you giys

ps yes the diff lock was on but the light has never cum on on the dash sins i had the beast i thought the senser was broke

You need ot get underneath then and see if the rear output flange is turning or not, either that or jack up one wheel on each axle and see it turning the front wheel makes the back wheel turn (in difflock).

Don't rule out the possibility that the lever for central diff lock has come loose and is not actually selecting diff lock.

stats exactly what i thought so i will investigate next weekend and get back to ya
