looking at replacing my current tyres with some larger and better quality ones.
just wondering what is the largest i can go without modifying the truck(dont really want to do that yet).
and will they fit on the current alloys?

i think you'll just be able to sqeeze in a 255 / 85 /16 but to be safer a 235 / 85 / 16 is totally fine :)

I've got 265/75x16 BFG AT's on disco steel rims. Backs are fine, but fronts do catch radius arms on lock. If your wheels have more of an offset they may be OK.

wifey runs 235/85 on hers no problems

235, 85 x16 where/are an option on new/old defenders rather than the 7.50's , I know 265x75x16 fit on standard setup without issue, they are fatter meaner looking than 235's.
