Title: Clear Lense Upper Light Clusters on 300 Series?
Post by: Wireless on March 28, 2008, 00:40:28
Ok I searched every thread back to September 2004 and found nothing on this.

Doe's anyone have a link to a supplier of Clear Lense Upper Light Clusters for a 300 Series, I have the 'standard' fit wired for tail, brake, indicators, and fog at the moment.  I say 'standard' but I bought this 96 model in January 99 and it came with this and the bumper lights, which are tail and indicator only.

I ask this question because the clear front and side indicators, and rear bumper lights can all easily be purchased with clear lenses, but can I find anybody selling clear lense upper clusters?  No!

Both my front indicators are cracked from laning and are now full of condensation, so need replacing, so I thought clear lenses would look nice, but a bit odd if the rest of the Disco has standard lenses.

If they are impossible to source I'll buy standard replacements for the front and fit some sort of lense protection.

Anybody found a source of upper clear lenses for the 300 Series Disco?

As far as i know these bit's are not available anywhere :'( which is a shame as loads of us seem to want them, just a thought how about tinting the ones you have got with the spray you can get from 'boy racer' shops ;)

This is a shame cos the Scout Leader has a Nissan Navarra and he's fitted clear lenses all round, seems I can't keep up the healthy competition on this front.

This ebay link (http://cgi.ebay.co.uk/1995-LAND-ROVER-DISCOVERY-TDI-ORANGE_W0QQitemZ120234423390QQihZ002QQcategoryZ29748QQssPageNameZWDVWQQrdZ1QQcmdZViewItem) for a Disco which finished a couple of days ago has some interesting rear lights. I contacted the seller and they are from an ebay company called Bolt on Bits (http://stores.ebay.co.uk/Bolt-On-Bits-01274-869955).

They have none listed at the moment but keep looking.
