"Could`nt sign on " what rubbish !
So it makes it ok to go and steal ?
The people who buy stolen goods are just as bad [-X

I'm reminded of a bloke I nabbed climbing over the fence of a council tip with a nacked TV in his mits. On interview he stated that he nicked it as it was cheaper than buying a new one. I asked him it he thought it might have been broken, hence it was at the tip.
He replied that he hadn't thought of that.
Numb nuts!

And we allow these people to keep diluting the Gene Pool?

Why do they get cautioned shouldn't there be chain gangs or something?

Too many apologists on their behalf!?

Its a shame the power did not exit via his head and blow his brains out of his ears

The worst ones I have heard of late are the scrap metal thefts from preservation groups. Thing is, the "scrap metal" is often an irreplaceable component for something of which only two examples now survive. More than a few railway preservation groups have had the incredibly expensive and difficult to replace copper traction motor cables disappear from locos to say nothing of one-off castings last manufactured decades ago. The monetary loss is bad enough let alone the loss to our heritage when some light-fingered little :-# decides to weigh it in for melting.
In those cases I feel a few weeks on the track gang might be fair punishment. Make them do it the old fashioned way too, with hand tools only!

What a numpty... why did he appear in the press... did he think he would get sympathy... look in the dictionary it is between S**t and syphilis!
It reminds of a story I was told by a Hants officer, where some pi..... sorry travellers stole a lorry of scaffolding, they took it back to their site and hurriedly unloaded it, one chap pulled off a large pole and up ended it, where upon it made contact with the power lines, the poor chap on the end exploded  The :police: were only called when the power company tried to gain access to the site to make repairs, what they found was a group of people trying to clear up the mess :->

Nah, we should be like some countries and cut the bar-stewards hand off , it would stop him nicking and deffo stop him signing on

the public should be encouraged to keep their eyes open more and report things. I know that sounds ideal, but something has to be done.
I read a report the other day of some thieving scum taking a WW" Mosquito propellor that had been set up as a memorial to aircrews lost in battle. Words fail me.

All I can say is he should have been drowned at birth
