Title: poorly sick 2.8 v6 powered swb series II....

hi im having problems getting my landy engine running properly. i have put in a 2.8 granada v6. it has a sporadic missfire, ive chnged every thing short of the dissy, and played with timing and mixtures, but it still wont run well.
 anybody got any ideas, as im all out.

Hi,

I think the answer has to be in the question on that one  "ive chnged every thing short of the dissy"

poss as its that old its got worn gear on the dissy or its just to worn and sloppy? I would expect only a krypton tune up would diagnose it, unless its to do with fuel.

Sorry I dont have a good answer, but id change that disssy if they are not too expensive and get a tune if the parts are not worth a risk.

I reckon you'd spot a worn dizzy with a dwell meter too. The dwell angle will 'wander' when the engine is running.
