Just had my 90 into a local 'specialist' to fit a 1.5" lift, he's only gone and fitted the springs the wrong way, fronts at back and vv. Now the front sits around 3" higher than it should while the back sits down.
He has offered to swap it round FOC but can't do it until Monday, am I likely to damage anything driving it like this? I am supposed to be giving it a gentle run off-road tomorrow.

no, shouldnt do, jsut dont do anything extreme, it might be alittle horrid to drive thou, so becareful.
-
Front end feels really wobbly, only concern is that I might pop out a rear spring if they are too short/soft.
-
just watch the front shocks as well and try not to go air born!
-
the springs should be roughly the same length, gonna feel really bouncy tho as the springs have a differnt stiffness. Should get some good travel on the rear tho As its only just been done everythings gonna be new so would only take about 2 hrs to change them back yourself.
If you want to do it, i gan whip up a step by step for you
Andy
oh, and try and stay away from any sideslopes!!
-
A step by step would be ace cheers, I reckon that the rears are easier as the shocker isn't through the middle.
-
ok..
N.B. do one spring at a time, getting squashed by a 90 is not fun
FRONT
1. take the plastic strut covers off from the engine bay, (black things on the inside arch )
2. Undo shock nuts top and bottom, recover washers...bush...etc noting the order, and remove shock
3. undo spring retainers (bottom of springs)
4. jack the front up untill ther's enough clearance to remove spring (dont forget to engage low ratio, in a low gear, apply handbrake, and chock wheels!!!!!!) personaly i'd stick a trolly jack to support chassis as well, better to be safe
5. Remove spring
You will need something to stick in place of it, i.e an old spring, if not then supprt the chassis with stands
REAR
1. undo the shock at the axel, dont bother with the top(chassis) mount
2. undo retainer (bottom of spring)
3. Jack up back
4. support chassis
5. recover spring
6. Insert the spring removed from the front, and work backwards remembering to put the rear on the front etc
7. Repeat for other side of 90
Think thats it, can be a bit tedious
If ive forgot to cover anything please add!!!!

think he could do with seeing one :)

You might also get a tug from the scuffers for your headlight aim :-.

Just got back from off-road playtime :D
It performed Ok even as is, only issue was the back wheels occasionally touched the arches as the springs are too short, other than that it was fine. Will get them swapped around this weekend then it will be unstoppable.
-
You'll get it put right then hate the way it handles

Couple of pics from today, shows the front sitting up and also the extreme articulation caused by wrong rear springs (with no bump stops)
