got a freelander '02 plate pay Â£115 6 mnths march next year Â£165 for the same your cheaper to tax a Land Rover Range Rover on a (94-02)
4.6 Linley 4d Auto on a this year
1 Mar 2000 â€“ 1 Mar 2001
Â£101.75
and the following year
1 Mar 2000 â€“ 1 Mar 2001Â£101.75

the rates for the dsco are just as weird thats for a 2.5 Td5 ES 7 seat

1 Nov 1998 â€“ 1 Mar 2001Â£101.75Â£185.001 Mar 2001 â€“ 1 Nov 2003Â£115.50Â£210.00
the following year

The increase is a discrace for some of the landrovers in the range !!

Wouldn't it be wonderful if everyone started running around in MK2 cortinas and the like, we would be the same as the Cuba dictatorship. :shock:

I have a tax exempt lightweight my pickup is classed as commercial.

Don't do it; look closely and a bunch of the mechanicals have fallen off!

Post by: Rich_P on April 04, 2008, 12:27:46: Ooh, er, you may have a slight bit of bother at some point. Probably needs an SVA and therefore should be on a Q plate with all those mods since not even the chassis is original (due to coils being added).

So what is this magical date when the rules were changed? (evidence please).

How do you prove when the vehicle was modified?

Loads of people seem to want to know the answer to this so maybe if someone could prove it, with references; it'd stop all the accusations of illegal motors once and for all.

Post by: Range Rover Blues on April 12, 2008, 02:57:22: I can see a time coming when older cars will get hammered too though, every year it doesn't get done means it's less cars that are still on the road I guess but if everyone starts running older cars then they'll jump on it.
