Hi all, have tracked a leak to the pipe that is at the higher level of the 2 from the Power Steering fluid bottle, it has been rubbing against the intercooler pipe just above the chassis rail and has worn through enough to start weeping (me too!)
Is the replacement of this pipe a DIY job or am I best trusting it to the experts? Am reasonably competent with the spanners.
If anyone has a diagram of that area showing where the pipes actually go or can help in anyway then I would be very very grateful.
Many thanks.

It looks to be a straight forward enough job.
But there again I have been known to be wrong

If it's the return pipe or feed pipe then a bit of copper tube and some jubilee clips. If it's the pressure pipe then no, I doubt it as the "steel" used in the pipes is really cheese, painted silver  it's not strong enough for any sort of comression fitting, I tried to repair one on Blue and had to solder it up in the end.

Its a DIY job if your confident to do it.....
Buy a new or second hand one or call Pirtek - http://www.pirtek.co.uk/ who will come out, make a new hose and fit it if required.
We use them at work and they are value for money.

Thanks for your help and replies, very much appreciated, it gave me the confidence to have a crack at it myself, I did ring Pirtek and the lad at the local depot was very helpful, so I cut the pipe .......... and replaced the leaking section with a piece of high pressure hose and 2 hose clamps, all seems fine now, have even cleaned the drive!
Photo shows the offending leaky piece of pipe.
Total cost, about 4 quid!
:D
