Title: Any Peugeot experts?
Post by: TechnoTurkey on April 09, 2008, 09:13:15
Hi everyone, been a little while but hoping to have the V8 on the road for the summer!

Anyway, the reason for my post is that the g/f has gone to Nottingham today but her motor has started playing up a little.  It drives fine but every now and then on braking the engine management light, oil pressure light and battery light come on.

Is it anything to worry about and should it get her home?  I am trying to get her to find a local dealer for some quick dianostics but would appreciate any tips, seems like an odd combination of warning lights so thinking electrical fault and nothing lethal at the moment.

Cheers

if it any thing like the Eurobox's i have worked on it could be the brake light switch faulty, or as Beast5680 says a brake light bulb gone

Its a 206 on a T plate I think, had a mess last night and there is a transfer bar running from drivers side to passenger side footwell (rubbish LHD to RHD conversion if you ask me!), on this bar is the brake light switch - right by where the passengers feet could kick it.  I removed this and refitted it and hopefully thats it solved now.

Thanks all

when you removed it dod you move the adjuster so it re adjusts it self to the correct possition?? push the outer casing in to the switch depress the pedal and fit then when you release the pedal it should self adjust to the correct position for the switch to operate
