The Theory test was a doddle but The Hazard Perception was mad, I mean the screens were not that clear, thank god I passed I wouldn't want to do that again.

Thanks Gav and Rob,
Going to get it all booked in ASAP and go for it, I must be nuts, i'm 38 and getting into bikes... mid life crisis I think. LOL

do it right, spend some time on a heavy underpowered bike and learn to ride, then buy a bike that suits you not just the biggest.
what does my head in are the guys who take the direct access test on a hire bike then buy a 1500cc Tupperware torpedo and plough it first time out because they didn't know it did a ton in second gear
take your time and don't take risks and stay safe , ;)
and don't do this!!!

That fall off the bike isn't unusual for a slow puncture in the rear tyre, he wasn't pulling away very quickly, the same almost happened to me on a 600 just pulling gently out of a T - Junction on my way to work the once.
Tyre looked up to pressure but was down to 15psi with a slow puncture.
Really gives you the willys, can be bloody expensive, and makes you double check the pressure every morning.

Watch out for the grease line in the middle of the lane as well. Slightest bit of wet can see you sideways. Done that on my 1200, interesting, is a word that springs to mind!
