Title: temp guage
Post by: Rasbo on April 10, 2008, 20:29:27
just swaped a 2.5td to a 300 and noticed the guage reads excessivly low, ran her up the motorway and only just got onto the white area, so are the gauges different of is the 300 very cold running engine?

Does heater get hot in cab (for a land-rover!). If not check thermostat.

Best thing i did was bin the land rover gauge and fitted a VDO gauge now i can see my 300 tdi sit's at 90.c (thermostat opens at 89.c) when she's working hard never goes above 95.c   i had some serious head ache's with Land rover gauge's... :(
