Title: Shocks.
Post by: SteveW on April 11, 2008, 09:10:36
I've finally got things sorted and got my Jimny to a state where I can use it offroad and I've now realised that I have the usual Jimny problem of my Procomp ES3000 shocks catching on my rear springs. Can anyone recommend a brand of shocks that are narrower or is it going to be best to go for a new set of the same but space them away from the springs?

Also could anyone recommend a cheap place to buy shocks and the appropriate bushes to mount them because my bushes look a bit the worse for wear and I'm pretty sure all the oil out of my shocks is now splattered around yorkshire!

I run my rear ones upside down to avoid this problem. As they are gased presurised they should work in any position. So far (2yrs) I haven't had any problems.

Cheers, I'll try that once I get some new ones.

Not sure if its worn through one of the back ones or just knocked the hell out of it but like I say it seems to have spat all its oil out for some reason. I've not been able to get under and have a proper look over the last week or so due to the weather.
