And I bet non of it is declared on his insurance, so when the spotty oik comes tear arsing round a corner on his poorly fitted 'slammed to the deck' suspension and rams some innocent - the insurance company tell him to poke the claim [-(

Not strictly true; if he hit you they would pay your claim but he would be liable to reimburse them.
It is pretty damn ugly though!

As I understand it, the insurer would pay the other partys claim but not his, as their liability to a third party is rather harder to wriggle out of.

Here s a contender.......

Bang on; they accepted the risk so they are liable for a third party but if the policy is taken out falsely they can reclaim it.
Basically they will always pay for third party's (It's bad for buinsess not to) but
A; they can refuse to pay to the policy holder
B; with the polocy taken falsely they can claim it back from the holder: IE if they pay you 100 000 then they can if they wish sue the policyholder for that; in ohterwords if you lie to the incurance company its possible to loose your house! [-X
But as a third party claim you will always be OK  as long as they have some insuarance
-
It's more than good business, AFAIK it's the law that theinsurance company has to pay out on 3rd party cliams, same if you are drunk or driving recklessly, otherwise insurance companies would hardly every pay out on the big stuff, they'd always be able to wriggle out on some technicality. So as said, if they accepted the risk they are liably to the 3rd party.

Thanks for clarifying that Matt - I've long since worried about these herberts flying around in their plastic fantastics.

I always wonder about the people who can't spell their listings properly. It's hardly difficult to run it through a spell checker and putting it up with errors just makes them look sloppy, not a desirable trait if they're trying to convince me to buy from them!

I listed this, just to see.

The Company secretary bought one last year in much worse condition I know as I had to drag it cross country through a load of fields to where she wanted it...
I really enjoyed that bit and also the red she got me for doing it ;)
Ended up as somewhere to store the tack for her horses and make a brew...

Well the thought did cross my mind, but then it's illegal for me to buy explosives, unless I stuffed it with £1,000 worth of fireworks.
Then I'd get arrested.
It's quite ok as an office, we used it for making tea and getting out of the rain.
