Title: Fridge Temperature!!
Post by: R2D2 on April 19, 2008, 20:20:57
Evening,

The wife has just asked me how to warm the insides of the fridge up   :| .  no warmer  not cool..er?

BTW she has a Degree in Computing and a Masters in Business Administration

It has a dial with 1 to 5 on it,  but no temp setting. So is 1 colder or warmer?  :-k  :-k

So I'm staying out of this till you lot re-assure me so I can wander in there later as if I knew all the time.

Cheers

On my Indesit. 5 is the coolest setting. So 1 would be the warmest. :)

Good question though. Dont forget the outside of the fridge will be warm. This is how a fridge works.

Well, some perfectly innocent remark made by yours truly,  regarding cups of  tea turning up at the PC and not being hot  [-X  hence discussions re the milk coming out of the fridge at sub - zero temperatures

So. Fridge turned to less cold?? =  Hotter tea, and money saved 'cos fridge is working less hard??

If I had a Degree I'm sure there's a formula in there somewhere ;)  ;)

The correct temprature of a fridge (between 0-5
C) is essential in preventing the growth of potentially harmful bacteria in foodstuffs.
