Title: quick question
Post by: craftycarper on April 29, 2008, 13:10:53
one of the windows in the back tub has several cracks in it, its laminated obviously but is it a mot failure, i know the front screen is depending on the whereabouts of the crack within a certain area..

Not sure about rear windows but remember an MOT tester once telling me that if you remove a broken windscreen it cannot be failed.

On the front any crack is a fail or a chip in your line of vision is a fail but a chip outside your line vision is ok so using that rule I would suggest a break or crack is a fail on any window.

The only one which is a failure is the front screen, had a side window cracked for the last 2 mot's and no probs

But if in doubt, take it out ;)
