The Llangollen railway isn't a million miles away either, although I'm not sure what they have on mid week.

There's lots of Sheep nearby. ;)

Visit the Aquaduct near Llangollen it's Massive and scares the kakapoopoo out of you when you walk across it (even worse when your in a narrow boat ) Llangollen is well worth a visit too ;)

Family legend has it that my Great-Grandfather used to walk over there daily. I've done it once, it's ok so long as you don't look at the unguarded side!

Lee,
it's brilliant in a narrow boat. You stand there holding the tiller, looking over a 4" piece of cast iron straight down to the river below.
My wife had to sit inside the boat last time we went over, she was that shacken. I have even seen someone stick his boat in gear on one side and let itself bang its way across as he sat inside!!

AS said Llangollen is a good trip....also worth checking out the lakes around Ellesmere...
