Title: increasing the performance and MPG on my 300tdi

just curious as to what can be done to increase the power and MPG i get from my 300tdi defender.
on the flat it seems to top out at around 85, dont really want to increase its top end, just the time it takes to get there.
also is there anyway of increasing its MPG.

you could fit a disco transfer box, less revs=more mpg

you wont be able to increase the performance & the MPG at the same time,
you can tweak the pump & do the usual stuff but from experiance the mpg either stays the same or goes down slightly,
this sounds like a stupid question but are the tyres correctly inflated? no sticky wheel bearings etc? as this all makes a difference in the mpg
