Title: New to me truck.....
Post by: Disco-Ron on May 07, 2008, 20:59:34
I've just spent a few weeks searching around for a decent 3dr disco1, 300...... what i have found is an 81k from new, never seen mud example, with half leather, no abs, no aircon, which is ideal for my needs...... i will be starting from scratch with the mods, and will be fitting a lift, front bumper and ep9, rear bumper, tree sliders.... diff and steering gaurds, castor correction arms, cranked trailing arms, front lowered turrets, rear shock brackets, tank gaurd, snorkel, breather kit, hopefully alisport intercooler and pump tweak, egr blanking plate, silicone hoses,  x brake, and possibly electric fans..... and my zero offset modulars and insa turbo sahara tyres....

What i'm really asking for here is advice on where, if anywhere i will find someone who makes a sports exhaust for the 300, ideally with a side exit tail pipe, i would like one that exits through the panel behind the rear wheel, not out the back... as they are quite vulnerable when off roading.....

I suppose having found a site where i can buy all the components needed, i could make my own, does anyone know if there is a reasonable performance gain to be had..... bearing in mind the 300 i have bought does have a cat in it!!

well yeah, if you increace bore and increace air flow the over all responce of the vehicle will be better, if you ditch the cat that will also work
i have a big freeflow ss muffler if you need it
