is it possible to stick a turbo onto a 2.5 N/A land rover 90 diesel engine? or is my only hope to replace the engine completely?
-
I think you can but it wont last long because the 2.5 turbo engine was strengthend internaly & has extra oil way's the 2.5 n/a hasen't.

You'll be lucky to find a good 200tdi going cheap.
They fetch good money.

I'm in the same boat! Tired of having to open the window and flap my arms when going up hills!
Think I might be going for a 3.9 EFi. Get similar MPG if you're really careful, and then you can LPG it.

if you need any help putting it in Jason can help you - he has just completed a diesel to V8 conversion.

There's a 2.5 TD going on uk-lro at the mo I believe...

Ta, it's in the future anyway. Have just spent my engine budget on upgrading the doors - to ones that will hopefully open and close without hand tools!

I reckon its those big boots slowing you down.

you could be right there, maybe selling the old tyres to the guy I bought the new ones off wasn`t such a hot idea after all, but having said they, they do look very cool.
