Title: RRC 3.5 Efi Lpg too fast!!
Post by: R2D2 on May 22, 2008, 09:34:22
Hello again,

Good news ..   mot passed :D  :D

Bad news ..  Had to put it on petrol to pass emmission test once I'd adjusted it  to run at 850 RPM, but when I switched over to gas the idle speed now runs at 2000 rpm.

Can anyone help me to reduce tickover on gas?

Try turning in the smaller of the two adjuster screws on the vaporiser.  This (on a leonardo system anywhay) adjusts the tick-over and the larger is the under load adjuster.  Mine was right in.  Now that it has been adjusted properly most of my running problems are cleared.

What mpg are you getting from your system?

Cheers

Hi, where will I find these adjusters, as I've not done any work on the gas systems?

Getting about 15 MPG with it running too rich co2 was 5.0 should be 2.5ish I think, well according to MOT man.

You should find the screws on the side of the vapouriser.  Sorry or the delay in replying.
As you seem to be getting 15 mpg I think I need to tweak mine a little further as I am now up to 9.5mpg around the doors!
