My little Clio goes from Band D (current) to Band G as of next year???  Means a rise of £10 over 2 years  :-#

I'm glad my cars are both pre 2001. But Sarah's TD4 Freelander is a 2001 registered after March!! It's going to get expensive  :roll:

I suppose if you can afford to run a Hummer, then £950 tax each year is peanuts.

I have just bought a 2000 disco, but when i put the details into it, it said the tax will be £450 in 2010???

How does that work out??  Its pre-2001

mine will go up to £400 in the year 2010 but by then the only thing left of it will be the chassic.

Mines only going up to £110 for 6 months £200 for a year.

Not bad i suppose could be worse.

How does that work out??  Its pre-2001

i,ve just done that and it gives you 2 rates, pre 2001 and post 2001 :? my 300tdi only goes up to £200 in 2010 :dance: looks like i,ll be keeping it then

it actually makes a mockery of the system as it encourages people to keep older less environmentally friendly cars running longer as they are cheaper to tax
