Title: speaker shelf build slight problems
Post by: mentalmoshio sophs V8i on May 25, 2008, 16:56:02
i have 4 6x9 speaker shelf built in mine and a large storage box under neath which leavea 6 inch hight boot. im toying with the idea of enclosing the speakers on the to enable the top area to be used when dog gaurd is in place.

i also am planning rear door window gaurds and also side windows ones too to protect them too.

and fit a sub in there somehow to  :-k

any ideas or laws which maybe be broken here.

im looking for a smooth and quite good load space solution

First things first.. what is that box thing on the bottom... because i have never heard of a subs enclosure being less than 12 inches in any of the dimensions
Have you considered a plastic waffle board type thing? You will get a good sound through that.

as long as you have them speakers amped up you should get plenty of bass out of them i woudnt put to much in there though as it is an off roader and they will get smashed

You want some bullet connectors.

remind me again what you issue is.

1stly you were worried about placing a cover over the top of your 6x9's
It all depends on the material you place over, the thickness of it. They are wasted under a cover though just buy some etal grills for them and set them flush with parcel shelf.

whats the problem with fitting your sub?
