Title: super pro poly bushes and a vibration problem with acceleration
Post by: kizz81 on May 26, 2008, 21:30:51
hello,
i was at kirton off-road site in lincolnshire this weekend and by the end of the first day i had shreded the top end rear trailing arm bushes so bad there was at least and inch of play on each side of the axle i had no choice but to buy some new bushes but the only ones i could get my hands on at all was a pair of super pro bushes  £55  is that the right price for them?
are they any good?
will they last a long time?

i had no choice but to change them as i had a 40 mile drive home,

on the way home there was a horrible vibration that seemed to be linked to acceleration, and it was so bad by the time we neared home that i was doing 30 mph in a 60 limet  any sujjestions as to what this could be?

i noticed that the drivers side hub had been leaking could that be the vibration a collapsed wheel bearing? it only happened when power was applied,

or a universal joint? i know i had at least one that neded changing but wasnt vibrationg or anything close before

im stuck for ideas, and thanks to the super pro bushes i have little money left for expensive repairs :|

cheers kieran

£55 sounds somewhere about the right price, probably not the cheapest place but

Start by doing the simple things like checking the UJs and wheel bearings that way at the least you know its not them.
