Heard the car go past, skid and bang, Police closed the area, helicopter arrived etc, looks like it was down to speed, hopefully now we will get a speed camera!
Sad thing is that all the boys were in my year at school i taught at (i was their head of year at secondary school) tragic waste of life, my thoughts are with their families!
Speed Kills!!!!!

Speed needs skill to master it.... sadly very few 18 year olds have such skill [-X
5 in a Fiesta spells trouble, it is sad to read such accounts :(

As I've always said when reading things like this, inexperience is the killer. Now inexperience might lead to them driving too fast for the conditions or their car, but it's still the root cause of the accident. I'm always baffled by the ones I see where six people had been crammed into a Corsa - who in their right mind would try to carry more people than they have seatbelts for?
I almost feel we need to make the driving test like a PPL, where you build up flying hours with an instructor to prove competence in different areas rather than a specific test period. It'd cost more, but it would ensure that people notch up the hours and keep an eye on attitudes.

Its tragic to read there things like that. I see youngsters every day who think they are invincible, as well as a high percentage of adults. When I advise them, I become the bad guy.
A tragic waste. They are all some mother's child.

Saw this on the Beeb this morning. Another tragic case. And it won't be the last.
It's not the speed that kills. It's the misuse of it. Speed in it's own right cannot cause injury. It's hitting something that kills. I agree 100% with the comment on inexperience.
But there is no taking away the fact that there are now more families suffering beyond comprehension.
