Post by: spud the king on June 08, 2008, 21:30:20
OK   so what have i done wrong

its a 3.9 v8 in a 110  was working but it had a nasty miss fire  so  put new pugs and leads ,still miss firing, so went  to local garage  and they tried to advance the timing but they said that the diorama on the side  was at folt so got home and  tuck the bit off [not as bad has i thought ] but the little pin got stuck on the magnit  thing[ the call it they hot wire system i think]
so had to take the hole unit out , got the bits and went to put it back together  all was ok [i think]
but now it wont start ,got spark from coil  and got no spark at plugs , so am i right and think its the dizzy and cap or am i missing something   that i did wrong as i cant work it out

Did you mark the distributor and block so as to put it back in exactly the same position as it came out, and are all leads in place and reconnected properly?
