An advert in a car mag with a thing called a clutch claw that cost £90 reminded me of this,a guy at work do this to me for a laugh when I was away for 5 mins and it took me a while to figure out what was happening(I didnt actually figure it out he had to tell me when he stopped laughing as I thought the van was broken) he used electric tape but cable ties would be just as good it works on manual or automatics when your vehicles parked up for the night or its going to be left for a while either tape tightly or cable tie tightly the brake and throttle pedals or brake and clutch pedals if its a manual or all the pedals if you want ,together just behind the foot pad on the pedal lever and when you try to drive or use the clutch it actuates the brake just remember to cut it off before you use it again, try it on someone you know without them seeing you do it and see how long it takes for them to figure it out whats wrong then think if it was a thief with 1 brain cell and it might just deter them or maybe they will make enough noise that someone hears them and to within an inch of their lives its a bit cheaper than 90 quid its just an idea,Don

Easy tiger, I've just moved from Nottingham after 5 years and I had to go all the way to Grantham to get a motor stolen ;) Although I do have a disc lock and a clutch claw now.

Depending on if its a determined pro or ametur opportunist
Remove rotor arm
Unplug LT wire from coil
Partly unplug HT lead (not sure aboutthat one)
Unplug ECU
Pull out a fuse
Disconnect batery

Do you think all your tricks will work when a car thief reads through these kinds of posts :D

It stops opportunists. Most things won't stop someone who is really really after it.

ive got a sticker in me window that says, "warning, owned by a guy with a gun"!! seems to work!

Or if they just want the catalytic converter out of it! Seems to be the latest 'scrap metal' trend. Just this morning talking to our QH rep who had been to a Ford dealership where all the cars had had their cats removed overnight  When I say removed, I mean hacked out so the entire exhaust needs replacing.
On the subject of the OP though..... a little red LED flashing on the dash can put off most casual theives.
