Right.. i have an old set of BFG MTs. can they be retreaded? i know they're not meant to be, but can it be done?
I dont mean melting new rubber onto the outside of them, i mean making the tread pattern deeper again using a tyre groover

If you`re that tired (no pun intended) of living mate, i reckon the Samaritans might be a better bet than here. Seriously when you see them hand cutting slicks etc. the tyres are produced specially with enough rubber to take it. A definite no no with ordinary tyres.

No they are not designed for being re-cut, Don't do it.

They wouldntbe used on the road..... But is it really that boring? I was just curious!!! :?

They wouldnt have enough depth of rubber and you would be hitting canvas before you know it!

ive seen it done a few years ago to a brand new set o bfg muds to make them in to a diamond pattern but thats a waste of a good tyre
