Title: Custom Switch Panel
Post by: Boon101083 on July 07, 2008, 23:59:29
I'm after a switch panel to sit inside the cab on the underside of the roof, but I can't seem to find anywhere selling anything even remotely like it. I've seen a few done but does anyone know who makes them or are they all custom built jobs?

Thanks

Simon

What he's actually is looking for is a ceiling console, housing the stereo, CB, and a few buttons for various things!

simon, they are custom jobs mate. When I get some time over the summer/autumn I may look into getting some 'blanks' bent up and some brackets made, then people can make their own up, it's a very fiddly job to be honest, as you need to keep running wires up the a pillars, and you always forget to do something so that means it has to come off again, and again, and again!

But like I said they are a custom job, I'm planning on getting a few made up when I have the time. I'll post in the forum when I do start making them.

Ah but the one in that 'manual' is rubbish to say the least, it's not deep enough to mount anything like a cb or radio up there and they way they spread the switches out and gauges out is a bit dim, you would need a passenger to tell you what the gauges are reading and to press switches in.

I have to say living day to day with the one in my truck everything falls to hand so easily, I may change a few things for the mk2 but not a lot  to be honest.
