Hi all,
Im sure this must have been asked before but can anyone out there tell me what it is going to cost me to tax my Landies under the new car tax rules. Being a halfwit and after everyone ive asked telling me something different I just want to know what the damage is going to be.
We have a 1996 Disco 300TDI and a 1986 90 which has a 200TDI fitted.
Thanks and sorry if im going over old ground.

As they are pre 2001 they are unaffected and should be around 185 quid each for a year.

If you have a petrol running on LPG (pre 2001 anyway) does it drop the tax as a 'greener' vehicle?

You can check your car tax at
http://www.parkers.co.uk/cars/road-tax/
One of the lads is running a Y reg 1.2 Fiat Brava hardly a gas guzzler it will jump from band D to H, £30 more next year and a extra £5 the year after taking it to £180

I have looked at that site before but there is no mention of a reduction if a car is dual fuel. I don't know if there is a reduction I was just asking/hoping!!

My pre-2001 Hilux Surf stays at 185 quid- which I can cope with. But my diesel sipping 1.3CDTi Vauxall Corsa goes DOWN next year to 30 quid.
Basicaly I think it makes sense nowadays two run two cars instead of one. A pre 2001 4x4 for load lugging/towing/offroad fun and something that does 60+ mpg for the mundane stuff.
